The Women of the Year Committee is asking sustainers, actives, and community agencies to nominate women who have gone beyond the norm, giving freely of their time, talents and ingenuity to make Stark County an all-around better place for each of its residents. Think about where you worship, study, volunteer, or socialize and consider nominating a woman for the either the President’s Award, for one who has significantly impacted one facet of our community in education, health and welfare, the arts, or non-profit affiliations or for the Community Award, where one has made unique and lasting contribution in two or more of these fields. Many of us have been inspired by women who place their community service high in their list of priorities. Now is the time to honor those women publicly.
